CCTV plays an integral role in keeping people and companies safe everywhere, from transportation hubs to retail, banks, and vital infrastructure. According to cctv.co.uk, there are approximately 691,000 CCTV cameras in London. Because surveillance video is largely IoT-connected, unfortunately, these devices are the main targets for cybercriminals. Nano Agent is an embedded runtime protection solution that provides built-in protection against attacks such as access control, memory corruption, shell injection, import table hijacking, control-flow hijacking, and more. This guarantees 100% firmware coverage, including third-party components, without compromising the performance of the device.

Modern CCTV cameras essentially act like small computers that run operating systems and applications and have different networks and radio frequency (RF) interfaces. Also, they are also vulnerable to hacking attacks. The biggest problem is that end-users often keep the default usernames and passwords, especially keeping the door open for hackers. Despite a strong password, traditional CCTV cameras are not supplied with adequate onboard security.

Launching on May 17-19, IFSEC International 2022, Checkpoint Quantum IoT Protect will be integrated into the production lines of the Nano Agent Provision-ISR. Protection is automatic and does not require configuration or setup.
